The son of former mayoral candidate and former U.S. Senate candidate Ken Eaton is complaining that Bob Tuke is wasting time with his U.S. Senate campaign.
Tuke is a solid Democrat and has been actively challenging Republican Lamar Alexander on the issues. That's anything but a waste of time.
But perhaps Eaton can explain why Ken requested a Republican ballot in the state primary in August 2006, yet has been a candidate on the Democratic ticket?
Who is wasting our time now?

Jim,
To answer your question I call myself a Democrat, and have always considered myself a democrat.
But as I have talked about at any event I have spoken at, it’s about the people not the party.
I vote for the best person that will help all the people not just the party.
That’s why I can not support Bob Tuke he works for the large company’s that are taking jobs from TN people, he is a lobbyist, and his greatest achievement in life was 35 years ago when he was in Vietnam for 4 months. And he is an arrogant S.O.B.
Sorry but the TN people need more.

You may call yourself a Democrat and consider yourself a Democrat, but who was the Republican that caused you to break ranks in 2006?

first off... If you're going to attack you should have a good stance...
Name one thing bob has done, since the primary...
also.. Look at the polls. Look at the turnout for Lamar in an unopposed primary.
You sir, have no leg to stand on...
so you attack my father. A good man, who votes with his conscience, and ran as a Democrat because HE IS ONE.
while you're pulling my fathers voting record, why not check up on the rest of the family?
You're right... He's more of a rebel than the rest of us. He votes on his opinion as opposed to the party line.
Second, Get your panties out of a wad... Why are you attacking an ex-candidate over MY opinion? If you've got something to say... say it to the writer, not the person you want to lash out at.
I'll be more than happy to listen to you whine about how wrong I am.
I wonder if you're the anon who called me a punk... you sure seem offended by what I said.
Anywho, you're more than welcome to address this issue with me and my past... but you leave my family out of it.
Good-day.
John Eaton
P.s. it's democrats like you that are about to sway this democrat lifer to vote for Obama/ Alexander. Indignant, and twisting the story to attack a former candidate, for his son's statements.
Tuke still has a chance, but he better do SOMETHING to win my vote. His lack of action does nothing but drive thinking dems away from voting for him. Also, you should be logical, Lamar stomped all of the Dem's combined in a uncontested primary. What do you expect for the election? by your unwavering support I'm assuming you expect a miracle.
Do us a favor. don't hold your breath.

Don't really remember voting for a republican in Aug of 2006 maybe you know more then I do. I believe that was a primary election.
Again I vote for who will represent the needs of the people.
There are democrats in office that need to be removed and there are republicans the same way.
I am 100% Obama and fill Biden was a wise choice as VP.
To take TN back to a democratic state will take a Senate candidate that can pull both Republicans and Democrats to help Obama win this state I'm sorry to say that will not happen. This will be a Senate race that the people I talk to say they will not vote. Maybe under an Obama organization Lamar will vote with Obama.
And Jim let me remind you I did not win you need to be figuring out how your Candidate is going to
at least have a showing.
