Sarah Palin??
Can you smell the desperation?
John McDole picks the unknown governor of the nation’s smallest state… why? Experience? Ha! Expertise? Ha! She’s entirely unremarkable in her career and accomplishments. Does McDole honestly think he can convince anyone that he picked her because she’d make the best president other than himself? I doubt he could even say it with a straight face. This choice reeks of political desperation.
Since the public knows nothing about Sarah Palin, both sides will now scramble to define her to the American people. And here’s the first thing you should know about Gov. Palin -- she used her political office for revenge against a former family member.
It’s petty. It’s vindictive. And it’s illegal.
Palin is now under investigation for abusing her power as governor to harass her sister’s ex-husband, a state trooper. Palin demanded that her ex-brother-in-law be fired but the head of the Department of Public Safety refused -- so Palin fired him instead. (Side note: the crony she replaced him with just resigned after allegations of sexual harassment.)
Alaska’s legislative council voted unanimously for a $100,000 independent counsel investigation into Palin’s abuse of power. Won’t McDole have fun answering questions about that on the campaign trail. I know the TNGOP likes to slander all State Troopers for political gain, but I’d like to think McDole still has a few scrupples left somewhere.*

*Maybe he should check in his other house.**
**No, not that one. His other other house.
