“The American people don’t want to see us up here talking trash.”
So says Lamar! Alexander in a recent speech about energy policy. Oddly enough, this noble sentiment follows seven paragraphs of trash talk about Barrack Obama. Weren’t you listening to your own speech, Senator?
Maybe Lamar! needs a reminder. Here’s a fun quote:
“Unfortunately, most Democrats still insist on trying to repeal half the law of supply and demand. Instead of economics 101, we might call this new theory ‘Obamanomics.’”
Oh snap!
“When we say, offshore exploration, they say no we can’t. When we say, oil shale development, they say no we can’t. When we say, more nuclear power… they say no we can’t.”
Good! Oh, that was criticism? Oops. Anyway…
Is that Lamar!’s best impersonation of a partisan attack dog? Because it sounds a lot like whining. And when you follow it up with a call for civility, it sounds a lot like hypocrisy. Perhaps the Senator should follow his own advice and give up the trash talk.
