Oliver Stone is producing a new movie on George W. Bush that he hopes to release before Bush leaves office.
Reports say 'W', which IMDB slates for a 2009 release, will star former-Goonie Josh Brolin as President George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks ('Scrubs') as Laura Bush, Oscar-winner Ellen Burstyn as, gulp, Barbara Bush and James Cromwell (the farmer from 'Babe') as George Herbert Walker Bush-Stamos.
The Hollywood Reporter says: "President George W. Bush is a foul-mouthed, reformed drunk obsessed with baseball, Saddam Hussein and a conflicted relationship with his dad. Or at least that's how he's portrayed in the script for Oliver Stone's upcoming feature "W.""
Those who know Bush who have seen the script have mixed reactions to the accuracy of the effort, but it still will be a great popcorn movie for any Progressive.
