Juvenile Court Clerk Vic Lineweaver still doesn't get it. After constantly fumbling the ball on the basic job of his office, managing records, he goes before Mayor Karl Dean saying that not only is there no money to cut in his budget, he needs a new car.
When pressed by Dean on why he doesn't simply reimburse employees for mileage rather than buy a car, Lineweaver says he didn't think of it. The move proves yet again what an inept manager Lineweaver is.
The claim to retain the current budget might have been reasonable if Lineweaver had outlined a plan to get his office in order, but even after being shown on TV lounging at home in a bathrobe while claiming to be at work, he doesn't realize that he needs to at least pretend that he takes the job seriously.
Lineweaver is an elected official, so it's going to be up to us, the voters, to boot him out of office.
Qualified candidates, please step forward.
