On the Republican side, the new poll has McCain up by 8 in Tennessee. Did Thompson's supporters suddenly jump on the McCain bandwagon? It's certainly possible. Huckabee seems to have stalled out, and Romney is too slick and flip-floppy for Southern voters.
McCain 33
Huckabee 25
Romney 18
Paul 9
The only suspicious number I can find on the Republican side is that the GOP's African-American voters split exactly 50%-50% between Romney and McCain, which would be fine except that the number of African Americans in the poll was 11--which cannot be split 50/50. It's mathematically impossible.
