UNCOUNTED: The New Math of American Elections is scheduled for two more screenings before Tennessee’s presidential primaries. Showings are planned at the Belcourt theater Monday, February 4 at 6:30 and 9PM.
The screenings are sponsored by Common Cause of Tennessee and Gathering To Save Our Democracy – two local groups lobbying the state of Tennessee to get rid of paperless electronic voting machines. Both groups are excited by the tremendous public response to UNCOUNTED.The feature length documentary from Nashville-based producer/director David Earnhardt clearly proves how the illegal and unethical tactics used to steal elections in recent years still threaten the rights of voters in 2008.
“Public interest in the issues raised by UNCOUNTED is at a fever pitch,” said Earnhardt. “The recent theft of confidential voter information from the Davidson County Election Commission left Nashville voters outraged and will have long term effects on how people feel about the security and integrity of elections.”
Panel discussions featuring Earnhardt will follow both the 6:30 and 9PM showings. DVDs of UNCOUNTED will be available at the screenings or can be purchased online at www.UncountedTheMovie.com/order-the-dvd.html.
The Nashville screenings are part of a national tour that includes screenings at the Durango Film Festival on February 28 and 29 and as an Official Gold Circle Screening of the Sacramento Film & Music Festival on January 15.
